Laurie A Bowar

Laurie A. Bowar age 61 of Prairie du Chien and formerly of Freeport, IL passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 8, 2015 at her home. She was born November 16, 1953 in Freeport the daughter of Wallace and Anne (Brody) Floe. Laurie was a 1971 graduate of Freeport High School, and worked in the beer distribution business since the early 80's. She married Jeffrey Bowar on June 11, 1994. Laurie enjoyed golfing, walking and spending time with her family and friends. Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren play in their sports, and spending every moment with them that she could. Laurie is survived by her father Wally Floe and her children, Jason (Bonnie) and Justin (Shanelle) Bardell all of Freeport. Her siblings, Jill (Tom) Williams of Stockton, IL, Terri (Mike) Clark of Polo, IL, Holly (Josh) Compton of Surprise, AZ, and Diane (Mike) Mowery of Columbus, OH. Her grandchildren: Kalah, Cameron, Zoie, and Zayden Bardell. Her nieces/nephews: Whitney and Christine Williams, and Brady and Harper Clark. Special Friends: Mark and Colleen Gallagher, and Melanie Miller. Her husband Jeff of Prairie du Chien, her stepsons, Jason Bowar of Phoenix, AZ, Brian Bowar of LaCrosse, WI, Lilly, and Michael Bowar of Prairie du Chien. Laurie was preceded in death by her mother and grandmother Norma Reed. A memorial visitation will be Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 4 - 7 pm at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien, WI. Visitation will be Sunday 2 - 5 pm at Burke-Tubbs. A memorial service will be Monday, 11:00 am at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport, IL by Rev. Larry Elliott. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, IL.
