Larry K. Huenefeld

Larry K. Huenefeld, 61, of Freeport, died Sunday august 30, 2015 at FHN Memorial Hospital. He was born March 26, 1954 in Freeport, IL, the son of Leonard and Marlene (Pitts) Huenefeld. Larry worked in construction and roofing. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War era stationed in Germany. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, on the Pecatonica River, and with friends. Larry is survived by his father Leonard (Patricia) Huenefeld of Lena, Il; his son Lance Huenefeld of Millville, MA; his daughter Crystal Huenefeld of Framington, MA; two sisters Jeanne Kulas of Martintown, WI and Vicki (Randy) Schamberger of Lena, IL; three granddaughters Amber, Alexis, and Abigail; two stepbrothers Brian and Eric; and five stepsisters Julie, Debbie, Mary, Michelle, and Penny. He was preceded in death by his mother. A memorial service will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday September 4, 2015 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport with Rev. Gavin Brandt officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. A memorial has been established in his memory.
