Larry E. Reel

Larry "Doc" E. Reel, 83, passed away on September 07, 2023 at Stephenson Nursing Center in Freeport, IL.

Larry was born on November 19, 1939 in Freeport, IL the son of Edwin "Pete" and Geraldine (Wolfram) Reel. He married Patricia Johnson on January 22, 1961 in Rockford, IL. Doc worked in maintenance at Kelly Springfield for 30 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of First Lutheran Church and Eagles Club #679 in Freeport. Doc enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Doc is survived by wife, Patricia Reel of Freeport and one son, Michael (Donna) Reel of Lena.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant sisters.

A memorial visitation will be 3:00pm until time of service at 4:00pm on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home 504 North Walnut St. Freeport, IL with Reverend Keith Johnson, officiating. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
