Lana May Seal

Lana May Seal, 55, formerly of Freeport, died Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Shore Meadows Rehab and Nursing Center in Toms River, New Jersey. Lana was born on September 14, 1959 in Freeport, the daughter of Patricia Dittmar and Eugene Volkert. Lana worked for several years at Micro Switch-Honeywell in Freeport before moving to Georgia. Once in Georgia, Lana worked for J.C. Penny Warehouse in Forest Park, Georgia. Surviving are her four daughters, Andalinque Robinson, Anishea Seal, Kanya Seal and Ashley Seal; nine grandchildren, two brothers and one sister. Also surviving are several cousins, many friends, and ex-husband Manuel Seal and his wife Erin Seal. Lana was preceded in death by her mother, step-father, Barry Shipp; and her grandparents. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday June 24, 2015 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at Burke Tubbs.
