Lana Dagel

Lana Dagel, 79, of Freeport, IL passed away Sunday August 4, 2024 at Ascension Living Saint Joseph Village. She was born April 15, 1945 in Freeport, IL the daughter of Gilbert and Eulalah (Welt) Powell. On July 1, 1965 she married Robert D. Dagel. Robert passed away October 26, 2021. Lana was employed at Honeywell in Freeport. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Freeport. Lana was very crafty and enjoyed sewing.

Surviving are her two nieces, Wendy (Tim) Bray of Rockford, IL and Vanessa (Scott) Mabel of Sycamore, IL; two nephews, Neil (Sonya) Suess of Pecatonica, IL and Brian Suess of Monroe, Wisconsin; and two sister-in-laws, Sandi (Delbert) Skaar of Rockford, IL and Sally Powell of Freeport, IL; great-nephews and niece Caden, Cooper and Chloe Mabel.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Randel Powell, and daughter and son-in-law Rebecca and Brian Collison.

Memorial services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday August 9, 2024 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial of cremated remains will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in Lana’s memory.
