Krysella J. Brose

Krysella J. Brose, 64, of Freeport, died Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Presence Saint Joseph Center. Krysella was born June 2, 1949, in Freeport, the daughter of Clifford and Pauline (Jones) Altenbern. Krysella married Ernest F. Brose in Freeport on November 7, 1970. She worked as a secretary in the Drafting Department at Micro Switch. Krysella was a member of First Lutheran Church where she was active in Mary Circle, Care Givers Coordinator and was a Sunday School Teacher. She was also a member of the Dragon Collector, the Bell Choir, Beta Sigma Phi, Red Hatters, Chix from the Stix, and was a greeting card maker. Surviving are her husband, Ernest F. Brose of Freeport; mother, Pauline Altenbern of Freeport; son, Matthew (Lori) Brose of Davis; daughter, Sarah Brose (Fred Allen) of Freeport; brother, Stephen (Nancy) Altenbern of Colechester. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Garrett and Carrie Fritz and Cameron Brose. Krysella was preceded in death by her father. Funeral services will be Wednesday 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church. Pastor Keith Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the First Lutheran. Burial will be Oakland Cemetery.
