Kenneth J. Juergens

Kenneth J. Juergens, 80, of German Valley, died Friday, September 4, 2015. He was born on September 3, 1935 in Freeport, the son of Henry and Fannie (Henning) Juergens. Ken was a 1953 graduate of Pleasant Prairie Academy in German Valley. He married Leola DeWall on March 21, 1959. He farmed in the German Valley area until the time of his death. Ken was a lifelong member of Grace Valley Christian Reformed Church where he served in a variety of ways. Ken's family and friends will always remember his fun-loving sense of humor. Survivors include his wife, Leola Juergens of German Valley; son, Harlan Juergens of Freeport; daughter, Valerie (David) Reuber of Pearl City; and one granddaughter, Brittany Reuber of Pearl City. Also surviving are brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Fannie Juergens; brother, Wilbur Juergens; and sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Bill Tate. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Grace Valley Christian Reformed Church. Rev. Jake Ritzema will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. There will also be a visitation from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the Church on Thursday. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. A memorial has been established in his memory.
