Kay D. Huber, 75, of Freeport, died, Monday, December 2, 2013 at Manor Court. Kay was born in Freeport on October 12, 1938, the daughter of Harold and Vera (Pash) Folgate. Kay worked for General Casualty Insurance Company for 25 years. She married Fred Huber on January 15, 1960 in Dubuque, IA. Kay was a member of 1st Baptist Church for many years. Family was a very important part of Kay's life. She enjoyed crafts, traveling, flowers, gardening and enjoyed the Christmas season. Survivors include her husband, Fred Huber of Freeport; two sons, Michael (Wendie) Huber of Dixon, IL and David (Caramel) Huber of Cedarville; one brother Tom (Connie) Folgate of Orangeville; four grandchildren, Erich (Alysia) Huber, Nicholaus (Sue) Huber, Heidi (Jeremy) Taylor and Tyler Huber; two great grandchildren Carson and Aubrey. Preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ronald Folgate. Funeral services will be Saturday 11 a.m. at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at Burke-Tubbs. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in her memory.
