Kathryn "Katy" Pannkuk

Katy was welcomed into Jesus’ arms on December 2, 2024. She was born on May 7, 1941 in Olney, IL, home of the White Squirrel. She grew up in Dundas, IL and graduated from Olney High School in 1959.

On March 5,1967 she was united in marriage to Eugene Pannkuk and was blessed with three children. They lived in Shannon, IL where they farmed until 1984. She worked at FHN Memorial Hospital for 28 years, where she acquired numerous friends. She was also very active at North Grove Evangelical Church. She loved socializing and helping her church friends in anyway she could. Katy was kind to everyone, but wasn’t afraid to tell you the truth. She was an avid flower lover and was always proud of what she had planted. She enjoyed taking a lot of bus trips and attending all of her class reunions.

Katy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Eugene; children, Bruce (Stephanie) Pannkuk, Craig Pannkuk (Laura Groom), and Annette (Craig) Schryvers; sister-in-law and best friend, Joyce McPhillips; brother-in-law Eldon Campen; grandsons, Drake and Ian Pannkuk; bonus grandchildren, Carley Reisen, Ben (Dana) Schwarz, Cameron Groom, Drew Groom, Evan Groom, Eryn Schryvers, Tori Schryvers, Sean Schryvers, and Nick Schryvers; bonus great-grandsons Jasper and Johnny Schwarz; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Michelle (Pat) Gillespie, Brenda Staufenbiel, and Maralee Kaufman.

Preceding her in death were her parents Blossom Coplea and Ernest Teitsort; her brother, John Teitsort; and her sister, Alicia Campen. The family would like to thank everyone from the North Grove family and surrounding community for all the thoughts, prayers, support, and generosity during these last several months.

Special thanks goes to Ally, Abbey, and Ashton for the special care given to Katy.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday December 7, 2024 at North Grove Evagelical Church in Forreston, IL with Pastor Ryan Howell and Rev. Lyle Zumdahl officiating. Vistation will be from 4-7:00 pm Friday December 6, 2024 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Forreston, IL. Burial will be in North Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Katy’s memory.
