Kathleen A. Kaney

Kathleen A. Kaney, 53, of Freeport, died, Monday May 13, 2013, at FHN Memorial Hospital. Kathy was born on November 27, 1959 in Freeport, the daughter of James and Joan (Miller) Kaney. Kathy was a 1977 graduate of Forreston High School. She also received her associate'™s degree from Highland Community College and attended Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music in Michigan. Kathleen worked for Newell Companies. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and card making. Surviving are her father, James J. Kaney of Freeport; brother, John (Jacqueline) Kaney of Davis; sister, Pam (Raymond) Wunderlich of Vernon Hills. Also surviving are two nieces, Jennifer Kaney and Lauren Wunderlich. Kathy was preceded in death by her mother and sister Susan. Cremation rites have been accorded and a private family service will be held.
