Kathleen A. Cassidy

Kathleen A. Cassidy, 70, of Freeport, IL passed away Sunday August 16, 2020 at Presence Saint Joseph Center in Freeport. She was born July 31, 1950 in Savanna, IL to Charles and Betty (Schneider) Kessler. She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing cards in card club and was an avid Cubs and Bears fan. Kathleen loved spending time with her dog Scarlet. Most of all she enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Kathleen is survived by her father Charles (Doris) Kessler of Mt. Carrol, IL; daughter Jennifer (Terry Sabin) Cassidy of Freeport, IL; two brothers Dennis (Marlene) Kessler of Mt. Carrol, IL and Mark (Jan) Schoening of Savanna, IL; sister Barbara (Charles) Jacobs of Evans, GA; four grandchildren Cassidy (Gage Reid) Curran, Delaney Sabin, Teagan Sabin and Jace Sabin; and one great-grandchild Kenadee Reid. She is preceded in death by her mother Betty (Schneider) Kessler, a sister lost in infancy, and great-granddaughter Maicey Reid. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday August 29, 2020 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery in Mt. Carrol, IL. A memorial has been established in Kathleen's memory.
