Karon F. Dundee

Karon F. Dundee, 70, formerly of Freeport, died Tuesday February 17, 2015 at Stockton Health Care and Rehab Center. Karon was born on July 1, 1944, in Stephenson County, the daughter of Warren and Pauline (Entmeier) Saxby. Karon married Eugene Dundee on July 26, 1986. Mr. Dundee passed away on October 21, 2005. She worked for Structo and Newell Companies. Karon enjoyed cooking, garage sales and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are son, Jeffrey (Cheri) Saxby of Clinton, Iowa; brother, Eugene Saxby of Lena; two sisters, Teresa Kreider of Oneco, and Tracy (Craig) Robieson of Lena; two grandchildren, Miranda Earl and Justin Earl; two great-grandchildren Jacob and Damien; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded In death by her husband, parents, brother, Gerry; and sister, Sharon Van Heeren. Cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering will be held Sunday 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Burial of cremains will take place a Lena Burial Park at a later date.
