Karen L. Wachlin

Karen L. Wachlin, 78, of Freeport died Saturday November 16, 2019 in her home. She was born June 23, 1941 the daughter of Alvie and Charlotte Esther (Baker) Bonnell. Karen worked at Newell Rubbermaid in Freeport for many years. Karen will be remembered as the great mother and grandmother she was to her family. Surviving are her son Dale Wachlin; daughter Teresa Ontjes; sister Geraldine Russad; grandchildren Josh Neimeyer, Aaron Ontjes and Hannah Meyer; and many great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, four sister and two brothers. A memorial service will be held Friday 11:00 A.M. November 22, 2019 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Blomberg officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. A memorial has been established in her memory.
