Karen Afnan

Karen L. Afnan, 53 of Freeport died Friday at F.H.N. Memorial Hospital. She was born February 10, 1960 in Freeport, Illinois the daughter of Kenneth and Phyllis (Crawford) Cox. She married Mohammed "Moe" Afnan. Karen was employed by Micro Switch-Honeywell and the Newell Companies. She was a member of the Eagle's Auxillary 679. Karen is survived by her husband, her son; Cory (Stephanie) Snyder of Wilmington, N.C., two bothers Daniel (Tina) Edler of Rockford, and Phillip (Mary) Lincicum; two sisters Deb Cox and Beth Ann Edler both of Freeport. Also, her three grandchildren; Alexia, Jayden and Skyler Snyder. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and her nephew, Tony Cox. Cremation rites have been accorded and their will be no services.
