Judith A. Strong

Judith A. Strong, 77, of Freeport, passed away, Sunday December 27, 2020 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Judith was born October 22, 1943 in Freeport, the daughter of Otto and Edith (Toelke) Grunder. Judith married Elwood 'Woody" Strong on February 24, 1962 in Freeport. Mr. Strong died on February 9, 2014. Judith worked at Structo for 36 years. Family was always important to Judith. Her most enjoyable times were spent with being around them. Surviving are her brothers, Charles (Deborah) Grunder of Florida, and Frederick "Ben" (Carol) Grunder of Lincoln; sisters, Bertha (Willard) Keister, Clara (Robert) Gill both of Rock City, Marie Johnson and Dorothy Kreger both of Freeport, Edith Rosenstiel of Freeport, and Helen (Dick) Schneeberger of Davis. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Judith was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday January 2, 2021 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Pastor Gavin Brandt will officiate. Visitation 9:00 a.m. until the time of service also at Burke Tubbs.
