Joyce Schmidt

Joyce (Brockmeier) Schmidt, 86, of German Valley, IL, passed away, March 1, 2019 at Presence St. Joseph Center in Freeport, IL. She was born January 1, 1933, in her home, in Forreston, the daughter of Roy and Harriet (Solace) Brockmeier. She married LaVerne Schmidt July 10, 1966 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Joyce graduated from Forreston High School in 1950. After high school she worked for W.T. Bingham. While living in Iowa, she worked for a car dealership. After the death of her husband she moved to German Valley. Joyce is survived by her sister, Reva Brockmeier of Forreston, IL; brother, Duane Brockmeier of Forreston, IL; nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. There will be no visitation or funeral services. Per her request. Cremation rites have been accorded.
