Joyce D. Williams

Joyce D. Williams, 86, of Freeport, IL passed away Saturday August 13, 2022 at FHN Memorial Hospital. She was born January 10, 1936 in Harper, IL to Maynard and Edna (Kohl) Miller. On September 29, 1956 she married Dale Williams in Freeport, IL. Dale passed away March 9, 2019. Joyce was a homemaker, along with working alongside her husband on the farm for many years. She enjoyed cooking, mowing the lawn, reading, watching the birds at her bird feeders, and country and gospel music. Family was very important to Joyce, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her three sons Doug (Kelli) Williams of Ridott, IL; Dennis (Jill) Williams of Freeport, IL and Dan (Beth Henning) Williams of Freeport, IL; two daughters Diana (John) Griffin of Maple Grove, MN and Dawn (Scott) Curran of Freeport, IL; brother Gene (Ardeth) Miller of Freeport, IL; ten grandchildren Randi (Mike) Klasen, Derek (Julie) Ganz, Nick Williams, Amanda Williams, Jacob (Amanda) Williams, Micki (Shane) Lobdell, Misti (Mark) Schweertman, Logan Stukenberg, Kortney (Jailene) Williams and Kaitlyn Williams; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Preceding Joyce in death are her parents, husband and son Darwin Williams. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday August 17, 2022 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home with Rev. Don Jamerson officiating. A visitation will be held from noon until the time of service. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in Joyce's memory.
