Joseph C. Amodeo

Joseph C. Amodeo, 83, of Cedarville died March 30, 2018 at F.H.N Memorial Hospital. He was born August 13, 1934 the son of Leo and Rosa (Guiffre) Amodeo. Joseph married Betty Scudder on April 27, 1957 in Freeport. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was employed at Micro Switch for 37 years. Joseph was a member of the Sacred Heart Society and enjoyed trap shooting, motorcycling, and attending Navy reunions. He is survived by his wife Betty; two sons Joseph (Amy) Amodeo of Orange City, FL and John (Stacy) Amodeo of Dayton, OH; two daughters Patti (Tom) Julius of Charlotte, NC and Tammie Amodeo of Freeport; one sister Rosalie Storm of McHenry, IL; and ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers Tony, Santo, and Jimmy. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday April 2, 2018 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home with a visitation from noon until the time of service. A memorial has been established in his name.
