John "Johnny" L. Wittfield

On October 25, 1959, John "Johnny" L Wittfield was a precious gift to Stella Wittfield. He was born in East Prairie, Mo. He departed his earthly life on January 09, 2019. John L like to work with his hands, he was a mechanic for many people around town. He also was one of the well known DJ's around town. He had a love for music and was a great dancer, and love to fish any chance he got. As a child he loved to ice skate and roller skate like a whiz. No matter where you would run into him in town he had a smile on his face, and conversation for you. He was always was the life of the party or any family gathering. He was a wonderful son, great father, very loving brother, grandfather, cousin, and friend to all. He always made sure his children and family knew how much he loved them. Johnny leaves to cherish his memories: his loving mother, Stella Wittfield (Freeport); four daughters, Tabneisha Euell (Arkansas), Juateen Euell (Freeport), Santreca Euell, and Passionary Euell (Arkansas); one son; Prentiss Allen (Wisconsin); 10 grandchildren & 1 great-grandson; two brothers, Eddie Stowe & Glen Wittfield (Freeport), three sisters; Earnestine (Stephen) Bell Sr., Lisa (Johnny) Driver Sr., & Stacy Wittfield (all in Freeport), a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; special cousin, Billy Ray Adams Sr.; and special friends (brothers) Jerome "Bull" Williamson and Willie "Bug" Allen Sr. Johnny was preceded in death by grandparents, James Whitfield and Luella Lawrence; uncle and aunt, Eddie and Vissie Chest; and cousin, Joe Earl Adams. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday January 19, 2019 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Rev. Ramero Stidman will officiate. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
