Joann Dunlavey

Joann Dunlavey, 65, of Freeport, IL passed away Tuesday October 3, 2023 in her home with her family by her side. She was born Spetember 6, 1958 in Freeport to Lee Sr. and Shirley (Ostrander) Euler. In 1994 Joann earned her GED, an achievement that she was very proud to have earned. On May 7, 1999 Joann married Joseph Dunlavey Jr. in Freeport, IL. Joann was employed at Microswitch in Freeport for 38 years as an inspector. She attended Baileyville Baptist Church. Her hobbies included crocheting, cooking, baking, swimming, camping, and most importantly spending time with family, especially her grandkids.

She is survived by her husband Joseph of Freeport; son Michael (Krissy) Brant of Mt. Carrol, IL; seven siblings Patricia Riley, Charlotte Klosa, John Euler, Lee (Donna) Euler Jr, Dennis (Darlene) Euler, Lori Euler, and Mavis Balsiger; five grandchildren Nina Moore, Sydney Brant, Taylor Brant, Aleeah Brant, and Allyssa Brant; and a host of cats and dogs.

Preceding Joann in death are her parents, mother and father-in-law Carol Jean Hoffman and Richard Joseph Dunlavey Sr., sister-in-law Peggy Euler, and brother-in-law Robert Klosa.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday October 7, 2023 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Branam officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in her memory.
