Joan Hensley

Joan (Battisti) Hensley, age 54, of Leaf River IL, passed away peacefully at her home in Leaf River on Sep 5, 2022. Joan was born July 31, 1968 to James and Linda (Dunbar) Battisti, at The Panama Canal Zone. Joan attended school in Polo IL. She married Jamie Hensley on June 25th 1994. Joan was employed at OSF Medical Group for 15 years. In her spare time she started A charitable organization (The Booby Bus) starting out profiting women with breast cancer and then went on to include diverse types of cancers. Joan is survived by her husband Jamie Hensley, children Sarah, Michael, and Dylan Hensley, father James Battisti, mother Linda (Dunbar) Battisti, sister Susan (Battisti) Borgmann and brother in law Greg Borgmann, niece Emily Borgmann, grandchildren: Laila, Kylie, Rosalie, Trevor, Logan, Keira, Aliya, Isabella, Easton, Summer, and many other family members and friends. Private family services will be held.
