Jo Willie Harston

Jo Willie Harston, 98 of Freeport died Wednesday in her home. She was born on June 4, 1914 the daughter of the late Jacob and Hattie Oliver . She was united in holy matrimony to Riley Harston. She is survived by 7 children; Noble Love, Jacob (Nell) Harston, Hattie Harston all of Chicago, Ill, Josiephine Rowe and Robert Harston of Carbondale, Ill. Annie (Chester) Thomas and Cleophus (Loretta) Harston of Freeport, Ill, 28 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are a host of nieces and nephews and special friends; Honey Green, Lucille Wade and Marie Harston. Preceded in death by two children, and sister, Clemmie Cleveland of St. Louis, Missouri. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday June 25, 2011 at St. James C.M.E. Church with the Rev. Roy Howard officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service Saturday at St. James. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
