Jimmy 'Peabo' Whitehead, 33, departed on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Rockford Memorial Hospital in Rockford, Illinois in the presence of his family and loved ones. Peabo was born October 19, 1978 in Norfolk, Virginia to Connie Faye Piggues-Whitehead and Jimmy Lee Whitehead and was raised in Freeport, Illinois. He confessed his life at an early age at Saint Martin Baptist Church. He has lived in various cities in Virginia, Florida, Missouri, and Illinois, but has always called Freeport his home. No matter where he stayed, he was well-known and was one to quickly make friends. His warm personality lightened any situation. He was considered family to all he met and freely welcomed those he loved into his family in return. In Freeport he was recognized as 'the Champ' because he had a strategy for any situation. 'He was the people'™s champ because he was going to work it out for everybody,' his sister Arlisha said. Peabo had a great personality and loved to spend time with his family. A known sports fan, he as passionate about all sports, but played basketball and football most. He was a devoted father to all of his children and could often be heard saying, 'I'™m not going to let anything happen to you,' his daughter Ecstasy said. He was a committed son and brother. Peabo was known as a protector. 'He always kept us safe,' Ecstasy said and his brother, Tranell mentioned that he could always count on Peabo to make sure 'that nothing ever happened to his brother.' The security that he provided for his family is unmatched and his devotion for his loved ones was uncompromising. Peabo leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Connie Faye Piggues Jocelyn; his father Jimmy Whitehead; six children: Jim'™Quayveon (14), Jahiem (10), Ecstasy (9), Ja'™Qurrieon (9), Ja'™Quayveonia (7), and Jisiah (1) Whitehead; his siblings Arlisha (Russel l) Turner, Tomorris Tranell Jocelyn, Natalie Manning-Adams, DeAngelo Woodall, Jimmy Whitehead Jr., and Jarvis Felton; and his nephews Zy'™Trell and Zy'™Treon, and niece Zy'™Trea. He also leaves his love with many aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends, and fianc
