Jill L. Conley

Jill L. Conley, 63, of Freeport, died Monday October 15, 2012 in her home. She was born on October 15, 1949 in Chicago, Il the daughter of John and Lucille (Burton) Woodcock. She married Lawrence E. Conley on July 10, 1971 in River Forest, Il; he died on September 30, 2002. Jill was a member of Freeport Church of the Brethren. She was a retired owner of the Freeport Sears. Jill enjoyed crafts, gardening, Sudoku, animals, watching college and NFL football, and spending time with her grandchildren. Jill is survived by her three daughters: Denise (Rodney) Caldwell of Winslow, Il, Sarah Gorham of Freeport, Il, and Elizabeth (Christopher 'Fuzz' ) Saunders of Algonquin, IL; her brother John J. Woodcock of Ypsilanti, MI; and five grandchildren Samantha, Katherine, Lawrence 'Larry' , William, and Alaina. Jill was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday October 17, 2012 at Freeport Church of the Brethren with pastor Lisa Fike officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. A memorial has been established in her memory.
