Jill D. Rogers

Jill D. Rogers, 74, of Forreston, died Saturday, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Jill was born November 7, 1941 in Freeport, the daughter of Perry and Zoe (Clark) Baxter. She married Robert Rogers on December 24, 1960 in Lanark, IL. She was a retired registered Nurse for the Freeport Health Network. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Forreston and the Northern Illinois Corvette Club. She enjoyed sewing, baking, reading, gardening, traveling with her grandchildren, especially to Disney World. Jill loved being outdoors in nature. Surviving are her husband, Robert Rogers of Forreston; son Toby (Dawn) Rogers of Freeport; daughter, Jaime (Michael) Adamany of Naperville; brother, Jack (Mary-Ellen) Baxter of Freeport; five grandchildren, Aaron (Rebeca Panos) Rogers, Kyle Rogers, Jeremy (Kayla Howarth) Rogers, and Marina and Eric Adamany; Also surviving are two great-grandchildren; Toby and Rylan Rogers. Jill was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 20, 2016 at Faith Lutheran church in Forreston. Rev. Scott Ralston will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials have been established for Forreston Food Pantry and Faith Lutheran Church in her memory.
