Jessica Ann Luedtke

Dr. Jessica Ann Luedtke, 48, of Milwaukee, formerly of Freeport, passed away, Thursday January 4, 2024 in her home unexpectedly. Jessica was born November 24, 1975, in Mankato, Minnesota, the daughter of Stuart and Lois (Grandstrand) Luedtke.

Jessica was baptized December 14th, 1975 at St. John’s Willow Creek in rural Minnesota. She was confirmed in the Christian faith on April 8th, 1990 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Freeport, IL.

Jessica dedicated her life to serving college and university safety as an Associate Director of Public Safety at the Medical College of Wisconsin, for over 21 years, and a board member of the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA). She was an avid sports fan and supporter of the Chicago Cubs and Minnesota Vikings. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, crafting and making merry with friends and family. As well as playing board games and spoiling her niece and nephew.

Jessica attended Immanuel Lutheran grade school and was a Dakota High School graduate. She received her BA from Concordia University-Wisconsin in Justice & Public Policy, her MS from Concordia University-Wisconsin in Student Personnel Administration, and her Doctor of Philosophy, PhD from Cardinal Stritch University in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service in Higher Education. She conducted her doctoral research on Leadership Development and Succession Planning for Campus Public Safety Agencies.

Surviving are her parents, Stuart and Lois Luedtke of Freeport; brother, Benjamin (Karen) Luedtke of Freeport; sister, Rebekah Luedtke of Wausau, Wisconsin; niece, Grace; nephew, Caleb; also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, friends, and colleagues. Jessica was preceded in death by her sister, Amy; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Memorial services 3:00 PM Saturday January 13th, 2024, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pastor Zachary Klatt will officiate. Following the service a luncheon will be held at Immanuel Lutheran, Freeport. Visitation will be from 5 - 7:00 PM Friday at Immanuel Lutheran, Freeport; and also from 2:00 PM until the time of service. There will also be a memorial service held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at a later date.
