Jesse L. Stichter

Jesse L. Stichter, 51, of Freeport, IL passed away Saturday March, 4, 2023 in his home. He was born February 14, 1972 in Freeport, IL to Gerald and Janet (Dash) Stichter. On April 5, 2007 he married Dawn Dyer in Freeport. Jesse was a chef at Ciminos Little Italy and most recently at Benchwarmers. He also worked at Family Heating and Air. Jesse loved sports and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Cubs. He also enjoyed magnet fishing, fishing, and camping. He was known to his family as a Disney movie entrepreneur and expert Barbie hunter. He is survived by his wife Dawn of Freeport, IL; son James (Siera) Bell lll of New Jersey; two daughters Devyn Bell of Freeport, IL and Paige Stichter of Pecatonica, IL; four brothers Jimmy (Pam) Stichter of Freeport, IL, John Stichter of Ridott, IL, Ray (Jeri) Stichter of Freeport, IL, and Jeff Stichter of Freeport, IL; and two grandchildren Brinley Stichter and Ellis Bell. Jesse is preceded in death by his parents. A visitation will be held Wednesday March 15, 2023 from 1:00-5:00 P.M. at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. A gathering will be held at Benchwarmers following the visitation. There will also be a benfbit for Jesse at Benchwarmers on Sunday March 12 from 12:00-5:00 P.M.
