Jeffrey Lynn Deethardt

Jeffrey Lynn Deethardt, 68, of Elkhorn, Wisconsin went to be with God on Friday April 8th, 2022 at home surrounded by his treasured books, cherished belongings, bowling trophies and family. He was born November 23, 1953 in Freeport Illinois to Harold and Doris Deethardt (Stumbaugh) Jeff worked at VARC and VIP Vocational Services until his retirement. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in McHenry, Illinois. His accomplished life and hobbies involved participation in Sauk and Walworth County Special Olympics, his Wednesday bowling night and burger and non-alcoholic beer at the Reedsburg Bowling Alley, family gatherings, traveling, Sunday car rides, sports, music concerts, dining out, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and movies. He loved family and sitting in front of a warm fire at home. He loved sitting outside during the summer and waving at all passersby. Jeff loved life and making friends. He is survived by his brother, Steven Deethardt of Tomah, Wisconsin; sisters Robin Deethardt, Elkhorn, WI and Mary(Deethardt) and Mike Robers, Reedsburg, WI, nieces April and Josef Lincoln-Schilling, Carly Lincoln, Erin and Josh McGinnis, Courtney Heath, Alison and Vaughn Holcomb, nephews, Patrick Deethardt, Jeremy Heath, Great nephews, Scotty Lincoln, Logan Beal, and Seth Schilling, great-great nephews, Waylon Vielhuber, Dylan Vielhuber, Evan McGinnis, great-great nieces Elly Vielhuber, Morgan McGinnis, Cassie Garner, Calli Jo Holcomb and Baby Brynlee Lincoln and numerous cousins. Jeff is preceded in death by his mother, Doris Stumbaugh, and father Harold Deethardt and many beloved aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Saturday April 23rd, 2022 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport, Illinois. Visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. until time of service. Burial will be held in Eleroy Cemetery, Eleroy, Illinois.
