Jeannie K. Hiveley

Jeannie Kay Hiveley, 68, of North Port, FL, and formerly of Freeport, IL, died Wednesday April 5, 2017 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, FL. She was born April 21, 1948 in Freeport, IL, the daughter of Charles and Eileen (Blair) Buss. She married Michael Hiveley at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Freeport. Jeannie is survived by her husband Michael Hiveley; two sons Troy and Chad Hiveley; her sister Karen (Randall) Burkhalter; two granddaughters Keira and Lily Hiveley; her brother-in-law George Hiveley and his sons, nephews and family members; her nieces Amanda Meier and Jamie Meier and her daughter Linley, and Kelly (Mitch) Staas and their daughters Piper and Lucy; and her nephews Shane (Jamie) Buss and their daughter Adelyn, and Ryan Buss. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Steve. A memorial service will be 11:00 Wednesday April 12, 2017 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport with Rev. Bill Blomberg officiating.
