Jeannette Wunsch

JEANNETTE WUNSCH, 98 FREEPORT - Jeannette Wunsch, 98, of Freeport, died May 9, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Center. She was born September 23, 1918 in Freeport. Mrs. Wunsch was a graduate of Freeport High. She was active in the community, particularly at Zion Church where she had been organist and choir director for numerous years. She constantly gave of her time and skills to shut-ins and those in need. She worked at Micro in Freeport and was also a music teacher. Jeannette had great artistic talent winning many awards for quilting. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 13 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. to celebrate her life. There will be a visitation before the service starting at 12:30. A memorial fund is being established in her name for music activities at Zion Church in Freeport.
