Mrs. Jean Walker was born June 16, 1950 in Freeport, Illinois, to the late Ulysses and Florence Taylor. She was preceded in death by husband, Robert (Bubba) Fane; son, James McGee; two brothers, Lawrence Taylor and her twin James "Jimmy James" Taylor; three uncles Sonny, Lucas and James; four aunties; Eloise, Audrey, Dorothy and Rosalie; two special cousins; Joan and Eddie; one niece; Marcia; and one nephew; Andre. Mrs. Walker attended Freeport High School. She worked at Micro Switch and Kelly Tires throughout the years. She was a lover of slot machines, and the penny slots was her favorite. She was a member of the Rock City steppers club during her early 50's but more than anything she loved being a mom and grandmother. She worked faithfully in the Freeport Community. She was known for her efforts in bringing people together. She has impacted countless lives, not only in Freeport but also all the way down to the southern States. Her infamous "tell it like it is", but loving persona will forever be embedded in the community. She loved God wholeheartedly and lived her life as a reflection of him. She leaves everyone who knew her wishing for one more day…. One more conversation… one more laugh. She is no longer in pain. She's at peace. God picked the best heart he knew, so we can rest assure that our beloved mom, grandmom, T Jeanie, Jeanie, Beano or whatever you addressed her as, is transitioning to Heaven because of the way she lived her life. She leaves to cherish her memories; seven children; James Taylor, Jeanette McGee, Andre McGee, Edward McGee, LaShanda McGee and Damien McGee and Susie Ross; sister, Florence (Michael) McGee; two sisters-in-law; Sharon Taylor and Diane Taylor; nieces, Danielle Whitehead, Angie Young, Melika Moore, Raina Collier; nephews, Anthony Taylor and Dylan Norton; also surviving are nineteen grandchildren and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
