Jean Bose

Jean A. Bose, 89, originally of Freeport, died Tuesday Feb. 4, 2014, at home in Lantana, TX, after a brief illness. The daughter of Vivian and Blanche (Meeker) Ross, she was born Jan. 11, 1925 in Freeport. On June 22, 1947 she married James Bose in Freeport. He died Mar. 8, 1993. She was an active member of Zion Church and sang with Freeport Choral. She retired from Micro Switch in 1986 after many years of service. Surviving are one son, Ronald (Marjorie) Bose and two granddaughters, Kendall and Lindsey of Lantana, TX; one sister, Erma Bucher of Shelby, NC, and one brother, Neale (Dana) Ross of Louisville, KY. Also preceding her in death in addition to her husband was one sister, Edna Schad of Woodruff WI. The funeral will be Monday, 11:00 A.M. at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home ,Freeport with the Rev. Gardy Cronk of Zion Church officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, 1:00-3:00 P.M. at Burke-Tubbs. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Zion Church.
