Jay M. Mullarkey

Jay Michael Mullarkey 1956-2018 of Freeport, IL, passed away on May 7, 2018. He was born in Freeport, Illinois to Dorothy (Turner) and Don Mullarkey. Jay was an avid sports fan never missing a Chicago Cubs, or St. Louis Rams game. Jay also enjoyed the outdoors, cooking and spending time with his family. Jay is survived by his mother, Dorothy Turner, his sons William "Billy" (Emily) Mullarkey, Michael "Mikey" (Diana) Mullarkey; his stepdaughter Kelly Bird; grandchildren Jack, Maggie, Lexi, and Katie; brother, Jim (Deena) Mullarkey, and sisters Kathy Mullarkey and Christine (Mike) Giardini. He was preceded in death by his father, Don Mullarkey. Visitation will be held Saturday May 19, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. - noon at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home.
