Javarski Lamar Mcgee "Varski"

January 28, 1982 — January 13, 2024

Javarski Lamar McGee affectionately known as “Varski” departed this earthly life on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at FHN hospital surrounded by his loving family.


Javarski was born January 28, 1982, in Freeport, IL to Patricia McGee and David Ishmon. Javarski attended school within the Freeport School District. He was a huge sports lover declaring the Miami Dolphins, and San Antonio Spurs his favorite teams. When he wasn’t cheering on his favorite sports teams, he loved spending time with family, friends, and his son Aveon. When hanging out with friends and family he enjoyed playing cards and going to the slots/casino. He had a bright smile that would light up any room along with a great sense of humor that could make everyone laugh. He was kind, humble and loved by many.

Varski leaves to cherish his memories one son Aveon Curry, his parents Patricia McGee and David Ishmon, Ella and Leroy Ishmon, six brothers: Darius (Chavez) McGee, Damon Shipp Jr, Querell Shipp, Steve Shipp, Deilo Ishmon, and Darren Miller, five sisters: Ashley Watts of Texas, Whitney Watts of Las Vegas, NV, Tanice Ishmon, Marquia Wittfield, and Alicia Shipp, one stepdaughter Janelle Winston. Aunts: Pearlie Mae West of Waterloo, IA, Lula Mae Prince, Joyce (Curtis) Robinson, Annie Green, Nina (Willie) Ishmon, Virginia Allen all of Freeport, Il. Lorene Shipp of Quitman, MS, uncles: Timothy (Jen) McGee of Waterloo, IA, Carl McGee, Will (Evelyn) Phillips Jr, James (Monica) Ishmon Jr, Wayne Ishmon, Jake (Lisa) West, Joe Willie (Janis) McGee all of Freeport, Il, Grandmother Izola McGee and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Special cousins Mario Robinson, Dwayne Ishmon, and Ransy Edison

Special Friends T.J Bland, Derek Cain, Devin Gossett, Brandon Shorter, Eric Fields, Adam Strohecker, Anthony Smith, and Demetrius Price.


He was preceded in death by his sister Ebony Watts, grandparents Annie Mae and James Ishmon Sr, Obadiah McGee Sr, great grandparents, Doyle and Ida Lee Prince, Aunts: Ida Mae West Prince, Betty Ishmon, Gunetta Ishmon; uncles: Obadiah McGee Jr., Johnny Morris Jr., Carl Ishmon, Curtis Ishmon, Walter West, Junior West.

Funeral service will be held at 11a.m Saturday, January 27, at Faith For Miracle Deliverance & Worship Center, 3247 S. Baileyville Rd, Freeport, IL, 61032. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Freeport City Cemetery.
