Jason L. Brooks

Jason l. Brooks, 39, departed this earthly life on Sunday May 20, 2018 at Freeport Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born March 4, 1979 to James Wesley and Barbara Jean Brooks. Jason graduated from Freeport High School; he also attended Highland Community College. He was employed at ABM Janitorial Service and the Lindo Theatre until his health failed. Those who knew Jason knew that he was quiet and kept to himself. He kept his personal life personal, and only told people what he wanted them to know. Jason you will be missed by many! Jason leaves to cherish his loving memories, three brothers, Bruce, Marvin, and LeMicheal Jackson all of Freeport, IL; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Lynelle (Brooks) Thurmond; grandparents Hattie Williams, Verline Jackson, Wesley Brooks, and John Jackson, Sr. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday May 26, 2018 at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Threadgill officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church.
