Janis Lynn Simler

Janis Lynn Simler, 55, of Freeport died Tuesday in her home. She was born July 17, 1957 in Freeport, the daughter of Wesley and Jenlyn 'Jean' (Stocks) Luedeking. Jan was a graduate of Freeport High School. She married Randy Reimers in 1976. He preceded her he death. She later married Scott Simler. He died September 3, 2001. Jan worked in Day Care. She was a former member of Bethany United Church of Christ. Jan is survived by her parents, her son; Wesley W. Reimers . Two daughters; Virginia Reimers and Eugena (Max) Fisher. Two brothers; James (Carrie) Luedeking and Jerry (Laurie)Luedeking both of Freeport. Also six grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, Jan was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents. A visitation for Jan will be held Saturday, from 1:00-3:00 P.M. in Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport. A memorial has been established in her name.
