Janice Sievert

Janice Sievert, 89, of Freeport, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 15, 2023 of congestive heart failure. Janice was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, on December 23,1933. Janice was always the big sister of the Monjeau kids growing up in Minnesota. Janice married Dale Sievert on September 7, 1953. Dale's career took them to Rockford, Florida, and Rhode Island and then back to Illinois. Janice retired from Newell where she was at the Arcade St., Corporate, and later years, carpooled with others to Newell's legal department in Rockford. Janice was a member of First Lutheran Church and over the years helped with luncheons and events and delivered Meals on Wheels.

Surviving are her son, Bob Sievert, daughter-in-law, Jan, of Monument, Colorado and granddaughters, Amanda and Megan Sievert.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, and their son, Roger.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Visitation is from 10 am until the time of service.
