Janice K. Watson

Janice Kay Watson, 77, of Freeport, IL passed away Tuesday July 5, 2022 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born December 26, 1944 in Freeport, IL to Donald and Elaine (Martin) Rumelhagen. On March 17, 1962 she married Jerry Watson in Freeport, IL. Janice was a former member of Embury United Methodist Church in Freeport. She enjoyed baking, crafting, which sometimes didn't quite get done, and most of all, spending time with her grandkids. She is survived by her husband Jerry of Freeport; two sons Randy Watson of Freeport and Rick (Carrie) Watson of Freeport; daughter Debbie (Kim Metz) Watson of Freeport; and six grandchildren Aaron (Emma) Watson, Jamie Watson, Justin Watson, Jerrica Watson, Emily Lindenman, and Chelsea (Matt) Kile. Preceding Janice in death are her parents. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday July 8, 2022 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time service. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in Janice's memory.
