James R. Klouser, 71, of Freeport died Friday in his home peacefully surrounded by his family following a short illness with Melanoma. He was born May 28, 1941 in Moline, Illinois the son of John R. and Frances (Fane) Klouser. Jim attended St. Thomas School and Freeport public schools. On July 28, 1959 he married Cheryl Dollarhide. He worked at Micro Switch, and in the printing department of W.T. Rawleigh then owned and operated Klouser Antenna and Satellite Systems for forty years. Jim enjoyed time with family and was very proud of them. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather. His friends were very important to him. He had many friends in Brownsville, Texas where he spent winters. He was a member of Eagles Club 679 and a avid racing fan. Mr. Klouser is survived by his wife, Cheryl, Two sons; Tim (Melody) Klouser of Galena and Chris (Barb) Klouser of Dakota. His daughter, Kim (Mike) Seiner of Freeport. His sister, Kathy (David) Casas of Brownsville, Texas. Seven grandchildren; Jacquelyn (Derrick) Becker, Jared and Ben Klouser, Tim Klouser, Jr. and Parker Kiouser, Cole Cramer and Lauren Cramer. Two great-grandchildren; Dawson and Lily Becker. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bob Klouser. Memorial services for Mr. Klouser will be Wednesday, May 22 at 10:30 A.M. at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport, Rev. Gardy Cronk will officiate.
