James "Jim" A. Mullarkey

December 27, 1953 — February 9, 2023

My husband was a source of strength, the rock and foundation in life and love. We can bravely face each new day drawing strength from beautiful moments and memories with him. Jim died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 9, 2023. He was born on December 27, 1953, the son of Donald and Dorothy Mullarkey (Watkins). Jim attended both St. Joseph's and St. Mary's grade school and graduated from Aquin Catholic High School class of 1972. After marrying Deena Swift on February 12, 1982, the couple welcomed three sons. He was a cars salesman for 40+ years. His customers were more than just customers. They truly were his friends and formed lasting relationships with them. He loved golfing, bowling, music and working in his yard. He was a devoted husband, dedicated father and cherished time spent with his family. Jim loved hanging out with his three best buddies, niece Geena Marie Swift, nephew Logan Tyler Swift and grandson Jared (JB) Bonavia Mullarkey. He was the greatest man and was always happy. Life was so beautiful because of him. He will never be forgotten by his wife Deena, son Patrick (Amanda) and son Tyler, his mother Dorothy Turner, sister Christine (Michael) Giardini, father in laws Elwood (Penny) Swift and Gerald Anders, step sisters Jan (Wayne) Wichman and Karen (Joe) Dimodica, brother in laws Danny Swift, Dale (Sarah) Swift and Derek (Randi) Swift and numerous nieces/nephews. He was proceeded in death by his son Jared (G) Scott Mullarkey, his dad and mother in law Don/Phylis Mullarkey, brother Jay Mullarkey, sister Kathy Mullarkey, nephew Jimmy Pat Dailey, stepfather Robert Turner, mother in law Patricia Anders and nephew Shane Swift. I know for certain that we never lose the people we love. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decisions we make. We find comfort in knowing our lives have been enriched by having shared his love. There are no goodbyes for us. You will always be in our hearts. We love you so much honey. Thank you for everything.
