James "Jb" Shultis

James "JB" Shultis, 69, of Stockton, IL passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport. JB was born April 15, 1953 in Des Plaines, the son of Raymond and Arlene (Coffman) Shultis. He married Michelle "Chelle" Giesel on July 3, 1982 in Arlington Heights. JB was a carpenter and a jack of all trades. One of his many passions were raising and training German Shepherds. He was a hard worker, spontaneous and always looking for his next adventure. JB enjoyed what he called his toys, cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed road trips, the Florida Keys, horses and so much more. He never met a stranger and cherished any conversation he had. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them. He was the most selfless, kind and loving person anyone had the pleasure of meeting. He never let a chance go by to share the gospel with someone. JB is survived by his wife Michelle Shultis of Stockton, six children, Dossie (Christine Myers) Shultis of Woodbine, Amber (Jacob) Conroy of Pearl City, Hannah (Gator) Caswell of Pearl City, Caleb Shultis of Pearl City, Mariah Shultis of Pearl City, Elijah Shultis of Lena; 8 grandchildren, Abraham, Carson, Finnley, Wilder, Waverley, Driver, Poppy, Honorah; his sister, Peggy (Byron) Olsen of Rockford, MI. Upon arriving in heaven, he was reunited with his parents and his sister, Janet Koets. Funeral Service will be at 2:00pm on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home 504 North Walnut Ave Freeport, IL 61032 with Rev. Cheryl Carroll, officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00am-2:00pm prior the service at the funeral home on Sunday. Private Burial will follow the service.
