James F. Snyder, 65, of Freeport died Sunday in Swedish American Hospital, Rockford. He was born February 23, 1946 in Freeport the son of Martin F. and Almira J. (Delzell) Snyder. On September 25, 1965 he married Barbara Taylor in Rock Island, Illinois. Mr. Snyder was employed as a Tool and Die Maker for Micro Switch and also owned and operated Snyder Gun and Archery for 38 Years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, The N.R.A. and a member of Stateline Beekeepers. Mr. Snyder enjoyed taking fishing trips to Canada. In addition to his wife, Mr. Snyder is survived by Two sons, Chadwick (Nanette) Snyder of Freeport and Jason (Shelly) Snyder of Aledo, Illinois. Two daughters, Aimee (Ralph) Taylor of Rock City, Illinois and Holly (Jayson) DiModica of Freeport. His brother, Charles (Mary) Snyder of Colgate, Wisconsin. 14 grandchildren whom he dearly loved and was so very proud of. Jesse, Logan and Ezekiel Snyder of Aledo, Illinois. Nathaniel, Luke and Jacob Taylor of Rock City, Illinois. Anthoney and Madalyn DiModica and Martin, Sabrina, Ruby, Henry, Olive and Eve Snyder of Freeport, Illinois. Two aunts, Orphea Lea (Earl) Koester and Nettie-Elda Delzell Sheperd. His brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Alan and Cheri Taylor of Viola, IL, Robert and Chris Taylor of Sherrard, IL, and Gayle Taylor of Viola, IL; also many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his infant daughter, Melissa Snyder . Funeral service will be Wednesday, 10:30 A.M. in First Baptist Church, Freeport. Rev. Caleb Kolstad, Pastor, will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday, 5:00 '" 8:00 P.M. at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home Freeport and also from 9:30 A.M. until time of service Wednesday at the church.
