Jacqueline "Jaci" A. Chappell

Jacqueline "Jaci" A. Chappell, 76, former Freeport resident, died Monday February 18, 2013, at Alexian Brother Medical Center in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Jaci was born on March 14, 1936 in Freeport, the daughter of John and Catherine (Meyer) Stubbe. Jaci married John T. Chappell on October 1, 1977. Mr. Chappell died on August 9, 2005. Jaci worked at Freeport Memorial Hospital for many years as a lab technician. Jaci enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Baby sitting her grandchildren was always special to her. Survivors include grandson, Jon (Johanna) Tolley of Guyton, Georgia; granddaughter, Jennifer Tolley; sister, Corlyn Vohlken; four great grandkids, Jace Tolley, Jordan Tolley, Jaxson Tolley, and Jase Veer and great granddaughter, Mya Saxby. Also surviving are two nieces, Cathy Vohlken and Cindy Vohlken both of Texas. Jaci was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son, Derrick Tolley. Visitation will be held for Jaci and her husband John on Saturday, February 23, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Burke Tubbs. A memorial has been established in the Chappell'™s memory.
