Isabel 'Issy' Mau, 77, of Freeport, passed away on June 3, 2012 at the Freeport Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in rural South Wayne, Wisconsin, the daughter of Sam and Frances (Paige) Deyo on October 8, 1934. She married Jerrold Mau on Nov 29, 1950 in Dubuque, Iowa. They farmed in the Kent and Warren areas for several years before they moved to Lena as Isabel continued to work at Atwoods Manufacturing in Stockton and made a home for her aging mother for 20 years. After the passing of her mother, they moved to rural Baileyville to be close to their son Verle and family and also Jerry'™s work. After Jerry'™s passing passing she moved with ailing son and family where they lived together helping care for Verle in Apache Junction, Arizona. Isabel is survived by her daughter in law; Kelly Mau, granddaughter; Lindsey (Tom) Lamey and great grandson, Dorian all of AZ, one brother; Dick (Rita) Deyo of Stockton, IL and one sister Ruth (Glenn) Ditsworth of Freeport. Preceding her in death is her husband; Jerrold, son; Verle, brothers; Delvin Paige, Delbert Deyo, Alfred Deyo, John Deyo and Sammy Deyo, sisters; Eleanor Deyo, Bonnie Rowe and Doris Plath. Isabel is being cremated at her request. Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday June 8, 2012 at Chapel of Peace at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
