Irene E. Rada

Irene E. Rada, 91, of Freeport died Friday February 21, 2020 at FHN Memorial Hospital. She was born January 2, 1929 in Durand, WI the daughter of Mathias and Mary (Coleman) Nielen. On October 25, 1948 she married Charles G. Rada in Durand, WI. Charles passed away August 20, 2001. She was employed at Honeywell Micro-Switch for 18 years. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Irene enjoyed candy making, shopping, making fudge, traveling, euchre and was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor and quick witt. Surviving is her son Gregory (Joan) Rada of Freeport; two daughters Judy (Roger) Johnson of Freeport and Kathy Harris of Freeport; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Preceding Irene in death is her husband, two brothers and grandchilddren Dustin Moheng and Christa Marie Rada. Funeral mass will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday February 27, 2020 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church with a visitation from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her name.
