Ida B. Baldauf

Ida B. Baldauf, 83, of Freeport, died Sunday April 3, 2011, at FHN Memorial Hospital. Ida was born on May 31, 1927 in Rockford, the daughter of Christ and Carrie (Raab) Miller. Ida married Alvin A. Baldauf on June 3, 1944 in Mt. Carroll. He died on April 23, 2001. Ida worked for 25 years at Micro Switch before retiring in 1982. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ. Ida really enjoyed family activities and sewing. Survivors include; one son, Eugene (Kathleen) Baldauf of Lena, one brother, Glen (Brenda) Miller of Oklahoma, four sisters; Helen Winters of Freeport, Lois (Merle) Reuber of Tucson, Arizona, Shirley Mathews of Tucson, Arizona and Linda (Cletes) Promenschenkel of Mt. Carroll, three grandchildren; Scott (Brenda Albertson) Baldauf of Winslow, Richard Baldauf of Lena and Dan (Brooke) Baldauf of Lena, four great grandchildren; Tailor, Bailey, Braden and Avery Baldauf. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday April 8, 2011 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home with Pastor Randal Nicholas officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Burke Tubbs.
