Helen M. Hoover

Helen M. Hoover, 81, of Freeport, died Friday February 7, 2020 at FHN Memorial Hospital. She was born March 5, 1938 in Paw Paw, IL the daughter of Henry and Sarah Faber. Helen married James L. Hoover on March 5, 1969 in Lanark, IL. James passed away January 2, 1987. Helen graduated from Rockford Business College. She was employed at Micro Switch upon retiring in 1987. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Helen volunterred at FACC and Meals on Wheels. She was also a member of the Antique Engine Club. Surviving is her longtime friend Robert Steele of Kent, IL; brother-in-law Denny Hoover of Freeport; three sister-in-laws Norma White of Freeport, Donna Haas of Monticello, IA and Janet Hoover of Sterling, IL; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband and daughter Denise. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday February 13, 2020 at First United Methodist Church. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. A memorial has been established for First United Methodist Church.
