Helen M. Butler

Helen M. Butler, 82, of Forreston, passed away, Monday December 12, 2022, at Serenity Hospice, Oregon, Illinois. Helen was born July 8, 1940 in Davis, Illinois, the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Hoch) Kochsmeier. Helen married William C. Butler October 21, 1960, in Forreston. Mr. Butler died October 29, 2002. Helen's family always came first, she displayed this by the compassionate care she showed each and every family member. She was well known as a fantastic care giver. Surviving is her daughter, Twila of Forreston; two nephews, Tim (Michelle Lafferty) Kubly and Terry (Alicia) Kubly; niece, Jodi (Jeff) Stine; many great nieces and nephews; also surviving is her beloved Shih Tzu, Mindy Jo. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Darla; and sister, Doris. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday December 16, 2022 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Forreston. Visitation 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at North Grove Evangelical Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Helen's memory.
