Helen Johnson

Helen W. Johnson, 91, a resident of Provena Saint Joseph Center, died Friday at Provena. She was born November 21, 1919 in Pearl City, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Vivian (Janssen) Wieland. On January 20, 1962 she married Irvin E. Johnson in Freeport. He died January 10, 1986. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Freeport. Mrs. Johnson was a longtime beautician in the Freeport area. Mrs. Johnson is survived by two daughters; Sue (Paul) Konieczny of Crown Pointe, Ind. And Melissa Johnson of Freeport. Her step-daughter, Marilyn Baca and her step-son, Thomas E. Johnson. Funeral service will be Wednesday, 10:30 A.M. in Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. Rev. Julie Bunt, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. until time of service at Burke-Tubbs. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport. A memorial has been established for Malcolm Eaton Enterprises.
