Helen E Fleischer

Helen E. Fleischer, 91, of Freeport died Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Manor Court in Liberty Village. Helen was born May 21, 1925 in Forreston, IL to Harry and Kathryn (Wiggens) Boelkes. On April 4, 1953 Helen married Kenneth P. Fleischer in Forreston. Kenneth died March 29, 2011. Throughout the years Helen was employed by Gronewold Sales and Services, Garrity's Drug Store and Ken-Harold Buick. Helen was a member of the Elks Lodge 617. Her hobbies included taking day trips to Dubuque, following the Chicago Cubs and Bulls, cooking and collecting cook books. Surviving are Helens two sons Robert J. (Dionis) and Kevin (Debra) both of Freeport; four grandchildren Kyle Fleischer, Korbin (Gwen) Fleischer, Jason Cross and Jodi (Andy) Graber; and two great-grandchildren Jackson and Jamison Graber. She is preceded in death by her husband, one sister and two brothers. The family wishes to acknowledge the wonderful care Mrs. Fleischer received from Comfort Keepers and Manor Court at Liberty Village. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday January 12, 2017 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home with a visitation from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
